The hotel's rooms, though more up to date than others I explored, were quite expensive including breakfast. However, the enclosed feel led to poor lighting. The service was efficient but lacked friendliness, though there were always pleasant greetings. The location is excellent for reaching The Village area, offering a comfortable walk to various shops and dining spots. The dining experience was pricier than expected, with discrepancies in pricing details. The facilities were satisfactory, though some areas needed improvement.

My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The room was cozy and clean, but a bit on the smaller side, and I wish it had more mountain decor to match the price. The service was great, and the location was convenient although it faced the parking lot, which could get noisy at times.

The hotel had a mixed experience. The rooms were okay, not dirty but felt enclosed, looking over a parking area and maintenance area, yet they have fireplaces which is a nice touch. The service was very unfriendly initially but improved and even accommodated our request for better chairs. The location was perfect for exploring Big Bear Village, although extra large pillows were uncomfortable. Dining at Stillwell's had its ups and downs. Overall, a place with positives and negatives.
